QR Code Scanner & Generator (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App uses device permissions and handles information when you use its features.

1. Information We Process

The App is designed to process QR codes and supported barcodes directly on your device. We do not operate a server for collecting or storing the contents of your scanned or generated QR codes.

2. Camera Permission

The App requests access to your device’s camera to scan QR codes and supported barcodes.

Camera access is used only when you open and actively use the scanning feature.

The App does not secretly capture, record, store, or upload photos or videos. Camera frames are processed temporarily on your device for code detection.

You may deny or revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings. However, the camera scanning feature will not work without this permission.

3. Photos and Media

The App may allow you to select an image containing a QR code from your device using the Android system photo or file picker.

Only the image specifically selected by you is accessed for QR code detection. The App does not automatically scan or collect your photo library.

The App may also allow you to save generated QR code images to your device. Saved files remain on your device unless you choose to share or delete them.

On older Android versions, limited storage permission may be requested only when necessary to save generated QR code images.

4. Vibration

The App may use your device’s vibration feature to provide feedback when a QR code or barcode is successfully detected.

This permission does not provide access to personal information.

5. QR Code and Barcode Data

The contents of scanned and generated QR codes may include information such as:

• Website links

• Text

• Wi-Fi information

• Contact information

• Email addresses

• Phone numbers

• SMS information

• Location information

This information is processed locally on your device to provide the requested functionality.

We do not upload or store QR code or barcode contents on our servers.

6. Scan History

If the App includes a history feature, scanned or generated code information may be stored locally on your device.

You can delete this history through the App where the option is available. Uninstalling the App will generally remove locally stored App data, subject to your device’s backup and restore settings.

7. Internet Access

The App may use an internet connection when:

• You choose to open a website contained in a QR code

• You use an online feature requested by you

• The App loads advertisements, if advertising is introduced in a future version

• The App uses Firebase or similar services for analytics, crash reporting, or app functionality

The App does not automatically submit the contents of scanned QR codes to our servers.

8. Firebase and Third-Party Services

The App may use Google Firebase services for features such as crash reporting, analytics, app configuration, or performance monitoring.

Depending on the Firebase services enabled, technical information may be processed, including:

• Device type and operating system version

• App version

• Crash logs and diagnostic information

• General app interaction and performance data

• Random or installation identifiers

Such information is handled according to the privacy policies and security practices of the relevant service provider.

9. Advertising

The current version of the App may not display advertisements.

We may introduce Google AdMob or another advertising service in a future version. If advertising is introduced, advertising providers may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interaction data, and diagnostic information to display, measure, secure, or personalize advertisements, subject to user consent and applicable law.

This Privacy Policy will be updated when advertising services are enabled.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Information may be processed by third-party service providers such as Firebase or advertising providers only when those services are enabled and only for purposes such as analytics, crash reporting, app operation, fraud prevention, or advertising.

We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the App.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the App.

However, no mobile application, device, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

QR code history and generated content stored by the App remain locally on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App.

Firebase or other third-party service data may be retained according to the applicable provider’s retention policies.

13. Children’s Privacy

The App is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

14. Your Choices

You may:

• Grant or revoke camera permission through device settings

• Select only the images you want the App to access

• Enable or disable vibration where the App provides this setting

• Delete locally stored scan history

• Clear the App’s storage through device settings

• Uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data

15. External Links

Scanned QR codes may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of websites or services opened by the user. You should review the privacy policy of any third-party website before providing personal information.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s functionality, permissions, third-party services, or legal requirements change.

Changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
